As AI rapidly reshapes how we live and work, public concern is mounting over how it's used and who is responsible for keeping it safe. A recent survey by the Alan Turing Institute reveals a strong demand for regulation to ensure it is secure, ethical, and in the public's best interest. CloudSource brings the expertise needed to meet this demand, advising and guiding organisations to adopt AI responsibly and supporting regulators in creating clear, effective policies that build public trust and ensure safety.

UK Public Calls for AI Regulation
The Alan Turing Institute surveyed over 4,000 adults in Britain to explore public attitudes towards AI. The survey focused on people's awareness of AI, their experiences, and their views on its regulation.
One key finding was that most people in the UK are concerned about the growing role of AI and believe that new laws are needed to regulate it. About 72% of respondents said that having laws in place would make them feel more comfortable. Additionally, nine out of ten people thought it was important for the government or independent regulators to have the power to stop using AI products that could pose a serious risk to the public. More than 75% also believed regulators should manage AI safety, not just private companies. These findings suggest the importance of the government's promise in its AI Action Plan to fund regulators, enabling them to scale up their AI capabilities and make informed decisions that ensure the safe use of AI.
How CloudSource Supports Responsible and Safe AI Adoption
For AI to be developed and deployed responsibly, it must reflect the public's expectations, concerns, and experiences. Public input must be heard and actively built into decisions to unlock AI's full potential. With expertise in ethical AI adoption, CloudSource is well-positioned to help organisations align their AI strategies with responsible practices and evolving regulatory standards. By clarifying the potential risks, CloudSource enables organisations to innovate while maintaining public trust and safety.
While the public is calling for stronger AI regulation, there is a need for expert guidance to shape safe, effective policies. We can assist government bodies in regulating the use of AI. We can help define what AI should and should not be used for and advise on how to implement clear, enforceable policies that protect the public. We bring this expertise to the table via our AI Ignite Catalyst Programme. Through a structured set of workshops and activities based on Microsoft's IDEA framework, we can advise and guide on adopting AI in ways that are ethical, transparent, and aligned with public expectations.
If you have any concerns about the use of AI, want to sign up, or learn more about our AI Ignite Catalyst Programme and how it can help you build a responsible, future-ready AI roadmap, please email us or submit an inquiry through our contact page.
